ACTIVITIES

The Centre has the following key activities:

  • Provision of Highly Qualified Trainers: The Centre prides in seasoned professionals from the industry and academic institutions from across the globe. These experts bring a wealth of knowledge that will enable the Centre to provide training in the latest practice of public financial management, corporate governance and leadership development blended with practical case studies based on the country’s experience.
  • Development of Tailor-Made Courses: The Centre exist to respond to the need to redesign and offer programs identified by various national studies as critical to the development of the private and public sectors in Rwanda. In that spirit, the center offers training content based on the market needs on a short-term basis, ranging from 1 day up to 10 days. In addition, special programs will be developed to target specialized institutions such as microfinance and cooperative institutions, media organizations, development banks and women entrepreneurship organizations.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: The Centre develops positive partnership strategies with different groups for the mutual benefit of all. The main objective is to enhance education that the Centre provides by sharing expertise and drawing on the knowledge of leading universities and specialized training institutions. This will be done through franchising their own modules or programs or through joint ventures to pool resources and expertise to work together on particular projects.
  • Organization of Seminars and Conferences: The Centre organizes seminars, workshops and conferences to create a platform for the exchange of ideas, lessons learned about economic governance and leadership development among practitioners, academics and other stakeholders from within and outside Rwanda. The center targets the right audience and selects reputable speakers and distinguished academics that meet the expectations. The Centre also hosts job fairs to link students/potential entrepreneurs with private sector companies to create an informal network and discuss about employment and career prospects.
  • Provision of Consultancy Services: The Centre provides advisory and consulting services aimed at solving issues and challenges that face the various sectors of the economy, making the UoK-CEGL’s contribution more relevant and useful for the country and the region.
